BIBLE STUDY HALL
Included in this website are a collection of Bible resources that I have prepared over the years including a comprehensive Discipleship Course, more than 20 Bible Studies, a number of Bible Notes which are separated into Bible book studies and Bible topic studies. Also included is a comprehensive Word Study. The Discipleship Course and Bible Studies are in a question and answer format. I have found this Q & A approach to be effective for both self-study and teaching a Bible study group. The answers are found in the Bible, not in the study. For teaching, the Q & A studies may be handed out to class participants to complete as the Bible passages are covered in the class. The Q & A approach promotes attentiveness and helps ensure understanding of each passage. For self- study, this approach encourages taking time to understand and personally apply each passage before moving on. It is my sincere prayer and hope that these resources will be useful for personal study and teaching leading to a fuller understanding of God’s Word and spiritual growth. Discipleship Course Please click on title above to view or download a pdf copy of the course. If you prefer a copy in Microsoft Word format, please click here. This is a comprehensive course of almost 100 pages divided into 18 parts; each covering an important scriptural basis for discipleship. The purpose of this course is to instruct the new believer in the disciplines, duties and doctrines of the Christian life in obedience to the second part of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:20. This course may be taught to groups such as Bible studies or Sunday school classes. The Urgency of Salvation Please click on title above for a series of studies that can be used by believers to introduce people to a saving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. These studies can also be used by unsaved people seeking to know what salvation is about and its necessity for entering heaven. About the Author Robert (Bob) Hall served as an elder and Bible teacher for many years in his local church. He has intensively studied God’s Word for many years and has prepared and collected extensive Biblical resources. In addition to weekly Sunday School, he regularly has taught children at Good News Clubs, Vacation Bible School and various groups on other occasions as opportunities have arisen. He currently serves in Sunday School teaching and substitute teaching in various Bible study groups at Glen Meadows Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas. He and Janell, his wife of 50 years live in San Angelo, Texas. Bob is a graduate of Colorado’s Adams State College with a degree in Spanish and Secondary Education. How the Author Came to Christ Bob grew up in a church that did not believe the Bible to be the inerrant word of God and that denied many of the miracles of the Bible. After high school, he gradually drifted in and out of agnosticism for several years. During his first year of teaching, some neighbors invited him to attend an evening service in a nearby town at a strong Bible believing, Bible teaching church. A message on the details of future prophecy so intrigued him that he began to wonder if the Bible might be true after all. While at German language school, he began to read a modern translation of the New Testament over and over. While stationed in San Angelo, Texas, some Christian friends were attending a Bible believing church and invited him to attend. They also loaned him Bill Bright's booklet, "The Uniqueness of Jesus." Everything came together and in the latter part of August of 1969, he made the decision to trust the Lord Jesus Christ as savior while seated at a Wednesday night service. He went forward at the end of the service and made a public confession of faith. He became dedicated to the study and teaching of God's word under the teaching of two Child Evangelism missionaries who led a mid-week Bible study in Berlin, Germany where he was stationed. Since that time, he has been teaching the word of God and preparing teaching material for over 47 years.
